Our Story

Phang-Nga Drift was born from a shared life on the water.

The idea of owning our own longtail boat and welcoming guests personally grew after Nut spent a season working on a longtail boat in Krabi. During a few quiet days there together, away from schedules and crowds, we realised how we wanted to share the sea with others – privately, calmly and with care.

We first met while working on a liveaboard in the Similan Islands. Both of us grew up by the water, though on opposite sides of the world. Nut was raised by the sea in Phang-Nga Bay, spending his life on and around boats. Susan grew up at Lake Constance in Switzerland, spending her childhood and youth swimming, in the water and close to nature.

Being on the water has always felt natural to us. Snorkeling, diving, drifting quietly along the coast or watching the sun disappear into the sea at the end of the day – this is where we feel most at home.

Nut is the heart of the boat. As captain, engineer and all-rounder, he takes care of the vessel and the daily operation. His calm presence reflects the Thai way of life – unhurried, attentive and deeply connected to the sea.

Susan is responsible for planning, organisation, finance and guest communication, with a strong focus on personal service and creating the day each guest is hoping for.

All our experiences are private. We work with a suggested flow, but every tour remains flexible – shaped by our guests, the locations and the conditions of nature. No two days on the water are the same.

Respect for the ocean guides everything we do. Marine life and coral reefs must be protected, plastic and harmful chemicals avoided, and awareness shared naturally during each experience. Sustainability for us is not a concept, but a daily practice.

At the end of the day, we want our guests to leave relaxed, inspired and happy – in love with our boat and us, the region and the quiet beauty of the sea.

Crafted by the sea, for you.
